Awesome! Great little machine! Amazing! July 16, 2010 AreThree Why did I buy this from Amazon and not Dell? Dell was not able to deliver this wonderful small netbook/laptop in the configuration I wanted. Amazon did. And at a price that was very much less than what Dell wanted and less than what it would have cost me to configure it myself.
I put Win7 Ultimate on it and it's happy as a clam.
I love this little thing. It's awesome.
The next great American Novel is going to come out of me and this system, you just watch! ;)
power adaptor cord missing June 8, 2010 Gurpreet Singh Sibal the product is fine but two things went wrong with it was that the power cord which connects it to the power source and the adaptor was missing in the packing and secondly system was locked and the password was not disclosed so you need to reload the entire windows after formatting the hard disc
Lightweight Windows 7 and Word May 1, 2010 Florida Native (Tallahassee, Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had my Inspirion 11 for several months now. It is very light and easy to stow in a small brief case. Windows 7 is nice and with Microsoft Office added I can prepare documents and PowerPoint presentations on the road. I have had no reliability issues so far with the Inspiron 11 although my wife's Inspiron 14 purchased at Christmas has had to be repaired by Dell twice. We own 4 Dells and only one has had any issues and Dell made the repairs promptly. The 11.6 inch screen is good enough and a fair trade off for the weight. I do not like touch pads and generally use a mouse. I have used the touch pad on the Inspiron 11 and find it one of the better ones I have used; the ability to expand an image with the touch pad is a nice feature. I would recommend this unit for someone who needs full office capabilities (without a CD/DVD drive) and for whom size and weight is an issue. I was searching for something a little larger and more powerful than a standard 1 GB netbook but something smaller than my 15" HP (which is still going strong after 3 years of nearly daily use). The Inspirion 11 was the right choice for me.

I'm a 60 year old man with not great computer skills, but this was very easy to set up and it runs great and it is very fast. The wifi makes it very convenient to do work outside of the office. I'm not that good with my fingers so I still find it more convenient to use a traditional mouse and the keyboard is easy to use.
